To keep your wooden pieces healthy and vibrant, wax them 2-3 times a
year to keep moisture and shine. You can use ordinary paste wax in the
natural color. Do not use colored wax, especially on pieces that you sit
or lean, as it will satin clothes. Colored wax will also chang the
appearance of the piece of furniture. Waxing does for your wooden
furniture what vitamins do to a person - it makes it look healthier, more
cared for and more alive. Even if it has a rustic or older feel, the
furniture will look well taken care of and not dry.
